The Breast Unit of Careggi University Hospital offers all clinical services to patients with benign breast neoplasms, and with early and advanced breast cancer. The collaboration among specialists in different disciplines, based on a multidisciplinary approach, offers high standard treatments, which includes diagnostic imaging and pathological assessment, oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery, systemic treatments in early and advanced disease, and radiotherapy. Other services include, risk assessment, and genetic counselling and testing, psychological counselling, rehabilitation and follow-up, services for lifestyle modification after breast cancer, and complementary therapies.
