Welcome to the Department of Breast Surgery at Kyorin University Hospital! This hospital is localized on the west side of Tokyo. This department was founded in 2007 by Prof. Imoto, after his work at the National Cancer Center Hospital East. His team manages 200 or more breast cancer patients annually. His research fields are the development of minimally invasive surgery (sentinel node biopsy and radiofrequency ablation), a new strategy against tumor-host immune response, and also national and international clinical trials. Now he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Japanese Breast Cancer Society (JBCS), a director of the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology (JSCO), the Federation of Asian Clinical Oncology (FACO), and the Japanese Board of Cancer Therapy (JBCT).
