The Breast Centre provides high standard clinical and diagnostic services. Patients are referred by the screening program or the oncologists from all over the island. They are treated in multi-disciplinary clinical teams working to standard clinical guidelines and protocols, new treatments, and breast cancer prevention. The centre's targets are to offer early diagnosis and high quality of treatment for all breast cancer stages. A range of care services is provided for both benign and malignant disease, including screening, surgery, radiotherapy (in collaboration mainly with the BOCOC as well as GOC), chemotherapy (within the AMC oncology centre as well as with collaboration with BOCOC & GOC), reconstruction and follow up. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of consultant surgeons, plastic surgeons, radiologists, pathologist, oncologists and nurses. We provide breast excisional, core and stereotactic excisional biopsy, sentinel node biopsy, wide local excision, segmental and total mastectomy, breast reconstruction with a tissue expander, implants, and autologous tissues.
