Marmara University Hospital Breast Center was established in 2001 and since 2010 it serves at its new building at Pendik. The center has radiology, surgery and pathology staff giving breast care service at one diagnostic setting. The comprehensive breast care is given to patients as a multidisciplinary setting. The center has breast care dedicated consultants on breast surgery, radiology, pathology, nuclear medicine, medical oncology, radiation oncology, medical genetics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, gynaecology, plastic/reconstructive surgery and psychiatry. Breast diagnostics meetings and tumor board are regularly held weekly. The center has received quality assurance certifications for its management system as well as for its information technology system since 2006. The center is also hosting the multidisciplinary postgraduate education for breast health. The center's first objective is to serve as a one-stop diagnostic unit and secondly to provide a high standard breast cancer care and postgraduate education for its residents and medical students.
